Description

The Micro-Image Capture 7 is the latest in digital microfilm and microfiche image capture technology from Micro-Image Capture featuring high resolution optics and electronics allowing for full-size quality viewing, printing and digital capture of  microfilmed images. Completely portable, the MIC7 gets power & communication via USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports! Use with a PC workstation or with a laptop for a completely mobile microfilm capture solution.
The Micro-Image Capture 7 uses the latest USB 2.0 / 3.0 technology for the fastest real time viewing available and is compatible with Windows XP on up to Windows 7, 8 & 10 (32 & 64bit) & MAC O/S.
The new MRFC-1 Motorized Roll Film Carrier option provides convenient electronic advance and rewind in slow, medium and high speed at the touch of a button. An excellent feature when working with 16 & 35mm microfilm rolls. Adding either manual or motorized roll film options makes the system a universal carrier, so the fiche/AP card carrier is still active while the motorized roll film carrier is in place and ready to use.
Capture an image with a simple keyboard keystroke or with included USB Foot-switch and save to your PC as a digital file or send to your network printer for a hard copy. The Micro-Image Capture 7 features a 7-54X optical zoom lens perfect for both 16mm & 35mm microfilm images on fiche, jackets, aperture cards or roll film.
The MIC7 is designed for the viewing and digital capture of 16mm microfiche and microfilm images that were originally as small as checks to ledger size originals. (see Micro-Image Capture 8 for 35mm engineering applications). The MIC7 provides fast and easy adjustment of magnification and focus which is achieved via precision high quality optics and the mechanical camera stage. Light and solid anodized billet aluminum base unit and fiche handler includes a mechanical auto glass lift mechanism and is built tough with quality linear bearings for precision movement and long product life.
Capture software provides for many adjustments to image quality like contrast, brightness, and resolution as well as optical flip, rotate and invert (neg to pos). Send images instantly to your printer, e-mail or to a designated pc folder with one keystroke. The included multiple output functionality allows for printing, saving as an image file, e-mail, & ftp outputs that can be configured to activate with separate hot keys or simultaneously with one click! Output image format types include PDF, TIFF, JPG, PNG, PSD, BMP, CAL, GIF, CAL, WPG and more.
Our multiple capture options allow for:
1. full screen capture
2. designated area on PC monitor frame capture
3. area selection by mouse drag capture
4. multiple capture of selected areas on the same page (by mouse drag) that combine on one page when done
Print, save,  e-mail output or send imaged to applications like MS Word and others. Software also allows for real time recording of microfilm viewing (genealogy & research presentations) and comes with an OCR function you can use post capture. Set up a capture “hot zone” on your monitor and capture images by depressing the foot-switch for fast production style scanning
